Sastre may be a famous, established Hunter in the world of Bolermos, but very little is actually known about him. He is very private, not revealing anything of himself to anyone, not even Solphi, really, and as such there are a lot of rumors swirling around about him.

As with all rumors, some are complete fabrications, while still others actually contain a shred of truth. So, here is the list of known rumors about Sastre that are making the rounds in Boler's Archipelago:

Sastre was born to a family of nomads on the island to the south of Boler Island, called the Wasteland of Tokma. Nothing living has ever come from there except for Sastre, and he has been fighting monsters since the day he was born.

As a child, Sastre was bitten and infected by a vampire, contracting the vampire disease himself. Through sheer force of will, he managed to expel the disease from his body, vowing from that day forward to hunt down and destroy every vampire in existence.

Sastre is descended from Alaya the Lost, known as St. Alaya of Honorable Vengeance among Hunters.

Sastre was shipwrecked as a child on Mordamar, the island home of the drow (Galdrian elves). The drow actually took pity on the child, and instead of killing him (as they do most intruders) they instead raised him and trained him, making him the warrior that he is today.

Sastre is a member of a noble family from the island nation of GeriGuu in the northeast. He was captured by vampires after his city was destroyed, and after fighting his way out of their nest, he vowed vengeance on all vampires.

For hundreds of years, an individual calling himself "Sastre Quicksilver" has roamed the Archipelago, slaying all manner of dark creatures with his legendary bullwhip. Some claim that he is immortal, and that he has always been here, protecting people from evil beasts. Still others claim that the name "Sastre Quicksilver" is simply passed down from one Hunter to another.

Sastre was born in the City of No Names, where he lived in the Foreign Quarter with his family. They were servants, working for one of the city's well-off merchants. After a band of vampires assaulted and killed the merchant, his family, and Sastre's family, the young boy was taken in by a wandering Hunter, from whom he learned his trade.

Many people agree that Sastre is in fact from GeriGuu, due to his peculiar accent.
