This story will bridge the gap between our last RP thread and our next Encounter thread. I would REALLY like everyone to post a segment here, unless you all don't mind me raking in the XP all by myself, lol! (Level 3 rocks, by the way!)

"CALM BEFORE THE STORM"

Flashing lights filled Sastre’s vision.

He shook his head to clear it, and instantly regretted doing so, as it sent waves of nauseating pain throughout his entire body. He hung limply from the iron shackles embedded ...

Ten years ago...

Rosalyn, now only eight years old, was heading towards the entrance to her village along with a few elven children she called her friends. A big crowd had gathered by the gates and, being children, were curious as to what it was. Indeed, there was a rather decent-sized crowd at the gate, as if they were spectators in a street brawl. It wasn't anything that serious of course, simply a man dressed in somewhat raggedy clothes lying face down in the ground. The kids tried ...

How the Shifters Came to Be

Long ago before humans roamed the Bolermos, there were only beasts and monsters. The beasts were free thinking, sentient creatures, and while they were primitive by our standards, they still formed societies and could speak in the tongue of the forest, from that which we know as Sylvan is descended.

It came to be that a couple of these tribes, the lions led by Humboro Razorclaw, and the wolves, led by Naima Longtooth, began to watch the elves with jealousy. ...

Honestly, both are pretty dissapointing.

I think they picked HORRIBLE Dragon Magazine content for their first annual. They barely included any of the new class powers, feats, or paragon paths, and the only racial spread included was of the Shadar-kai! No Minotaur, no Revanent... blah. They did, at least, include the coliseum stuff, so that's cool.

As far as the AV2, it just didn't have the same thrill that the first one did. There are some new item types, but none of them are particularly ...

Sunlight streamed into the crystal which an old, blue dragonborn stared into. Scarred with many battles, his armor still fit correctly though it too bore many mars. For a long while the dragon-kin simply watched as the light was bent into it's array of colors. His mind wandered to forgotten battles, by-gone glories, and victories of long, long ago. Finally, letting the small crystal rest on his lap he looked around him at the glade of ancient heroes.

Before Telesta became known for incredible powers of inebriation there had been some oddities about her. Those oddities were now masked and hidden beneath years of an altered frame of mind, and if she were ever to be sober again what parts of that mind that would remain are impossible to conjecture.

Her birth had held no peculiar portents, other than the strange mark on her that no one could explain. It wasn't in any of the books her village had ...

On a dark and stormy night (Don't all great stories start like this?), a young dragonborn ventured into the library of his large home, his eyes glancing over the large collection of titles adorning the shelves. Only a couple candles lit the large room, which was enough to at least see the titles. The young boy eagerly thumbed through the books until he came to a very large one. He had to use two hands to pull it out, the book being the size of a house cat (and the thickness of one too). The ...

As with all rumors, some are complete fabrications, while still others actually contain a shred of truth. So, here is the list of known rumors about Sastre that are making the rounds in Boler's Archipelago:

During my many years as Admiral of the Dragonborn Navy, I saw many incredible things, yet in my few weeks with my new adventuring party I have been witness to events that I would never have thought possible. It was not the rifts that brought hell spawn into our world that shook me. Nor was it the ensuing destruction of the Oracle City, which I inadvertently played a hand ...

The giant man crossed his arms in front of him and leveled her with a glare, not bothering to inspect the paper. “I’m sorry, miss, but the port’s been temporarily shut down, and I can’t say any more on the matter,” he growled.

This story begins with the feeling of hunger. The hunger for flesh and blood.

On a cold and rainy night, a cloaked man on a horse rode along the muddy trail. Up ahead he saw what looked like a small glimmer of light. Climbing off his horse, the man wished to investigate further on foot. As he moved closer, he realized the light came from a lantern, lying on it's side. The glass that which contained the flame was cracked slightly, as if it had been dropped. As his eyes moved further up, ...

Craed's scales are pitch black but with gleaming silver tips, giving him an interesting iridescent look. While strange in it's own right, other problems cropped up as he matured. After discovering that his breath was of lightning, the Paladin order invited Craed into their ranks. This was a great honor for any Dragonborn ...

"Chosen"

Ellia walked through the city as if in a dream.

She was fully cognizant, and aware of what she was doing, but the world around her seemed hazy and unreal as the pull in the back of her mind continued to lead her on—to what, though, she didn’t ...

Double Running

I just thought that I'd tell you guys about this great thing I just learned from the player's handbook: Double Running.

Here's how it works:

1. You choose to double move on your turn, instead of a move action and a standard action.

2. You RUN on BOTH move actions. It adds +2 to each movement, even though you take a penalty to the next attack roll you make.

This is just something that can really come in handy, I think, like when trying to escape a group of demons or something...

Since the evil deities don't have "Channel Divinity" powers of their own, I've decided to create them. I'm also working on a "Dark Cleric" class as well, to make use of these.
So far, only Zehir has a "Channel Divinity." More will follow as necessary.
