He couldn't stand to see her like this. She was his own. She practically created him as he his now. And she was dying. He had the power to save her and so he did.
Ellia stared up at the sky. Watching and praying and feeling so much pain. The burns on her skin were agony. But she held on to her faith. She had to endure. Her god was with her. She could feel the tingle of his power. In fact, it was getting stronger. And as she stared up into the sky she watched a star descend down upon her. And in that star, there was a bird. No! Not a bird. An angel, an archon. Jet black with glowing blue eyes, he looked fierce and strong. But those eyes held nothing but kindness as he gazed upon her broken form.
"Greetings, my child. I am Clef. Master Jeyld has sent me for you."
Tears fell down Ellia's face. "Am I to die then? Have I served well?"
"You misunderstand, my child. You are not to die. I am here to prevent that. I cannot take away your pain, and I cannot take away your injuries but I can keep you strong. You will have my strength and you will heal in time." He lay one taloned hand upon her broken form and arcs of power ran through her, giving her strength, just enough to stay alive. The pain was still there but she could fight through it. "I am sorry I cannot heal you. Master Jeyld had to be restrained from coming down himself. There are rules that must be followed and thus you must endure this test. I must go now."
Ellia watched as the raven angel soared back into the sky. She would endure. The pain was unbearable but she would endure.

I watched as Galdria was obliterated. I saw my friends and companions die. I was helpless. But in their honor and in their name I will make this world safe again. For Arius, for Febrien, for Hayato, for Gurl, and for Jaden. I will protect this land with my blade and the very breath of my body.
