Jeyld was, for lack of a better term, bored. Being a god was fun, but he found that he no longer needed all of his consciousness to keep things running. Besides, he had created some help. One of these helpers was with him now. He was the first, and the closest to the God of Lost Music, having been a part of him for so long before.

"I miss them, Clef. I was with them for such a short time in my long life but I miss them dearly."

Clef had changed somewhat since the last time he was corporeal. No longer a simple raven familiar he had a more bipedal appearance. His claws and beak and feathers were much the same but he now had arms that ended in clawed hands and his eyes were a brilliant electric blue. He wore a dull sapphire armor as well. It looked as if made from the gemstone but without the luster and shine. The only true sapphire was a small music note embedded in the upper left of his breastplate. Occasionally some electricity would spark from his claws or his eyes. Jeyld had made him a powerful Archon and a truly separate entity.

"Well, master, I know we have our limits on exactly how much we can do now. Simply journeying with them is out of the question anymore. Perhaps there is an alternative way to engage with them?" He stretched his wings and gave his deity a sympathetic look.

Jeyld looked down on Clef (he had grown somewhat since becoming a true god and towered a foot above Clef's own seven feet) and smiled. "You're correct, Clef. There is a way. I do believe it is customary for god's to 'test' mortals. While I am in no mood to put them in any sort of danger, perhaps I can give them a test in humility? Or patience? Or even in love? Well... maybe not love. Best not to interfere with such a powerful emotion. Hmm... lust! Lust would be a good substitute."

"Those all sound like worthy examples, master." Jeyld scowled at the term but Clef preferred using it so he said nothing. "May I make a suggestion to consider the matter more carefully? It would allow you to plan out this little prank of yours and also allow you to choose the most fitting target."

Jeyld laughed heartily. "I don't remember calling it a prank but you know me too well, old bird." There was a twinkle in his eye and he grinned his gnomish grin. "Well then, let us choose one of our former cohorts to recieve our 'blessing'..." And their eyes looked upon the mortal world and they watched and waited...

Jeyld chuckled as he carefully chose his target. Now he just had to wait for the opportune moment...
