Hayato Sakasuki, the resident martial artist of our band of heroes, is known to have a somewhat strong sense of justice, yet a bit of a jerk to some people, including certain members of his party (you know who you are!). Also, while his fighting skills are very well developed for someone from his home town of Hai-Lan, he still seems somewhat illprepared for the challenges he has faced so far. This is what we know of the man from the small village in the east. But what don't we know? Well, sit and listen, because it's about to become unknown.

Son of both Satoshi Sakasuki, who doubles as his martial arts teacher, a master of the Sakasuki style of martial arts passed down from his father, Kyosuke Sakasuki; and his mother, Miyuki Sakasuki (maiden name Koshiro), a simple house wife who avoided the duties passed down from her mother, a shrine maiden named Kagura Koshiro (maiden name Taijiri). Growing up, Hayato spent most of his time training under his father (while grandfather supervised), and doing chores, thus missing out on interacting with the other children (much to the chagrin of his mother, who encouraged Hayato to skip his training from time to time to go play when the opportunity arose).

Sometime after Hayato's 18th birthday, his village was attacked. An evil man arrived, laying waste to his village, seeking an enchanted idol called "The Blue Fox", a blue, fox-shaped gem said to hold great power. The man not only took this, a very important part of Hayato's village's history (though for the life of him, he can't remember why...), but also the life of his father, who fought valiantly to protect his home. In addition, Hayato's face was left with a nasty scar across his face, a constant reminder of the loss he had experienced. Enraged, Hayato soon took off after him, hearing he had headed west to the main continent...

After having joined up with a certain travelling company, Hayato spent much of his time searching for the whereabouts of "That Man" when he wasn't working, but so far, nothing has come up. Having recieved some info after arriving at a place called The Inn of the Horned Beaver, Hayato was about ready to take off again, until suddenly, another job came up... "Dammit! I don't have time for this! Grrrr... *sighs* Oh well... I suppose it'll have to wait. Well, as long as I don't have to put up with any elves. Those guys are so damn snobby...." In the words of yours truly, I see this ending in fire...

(Actually, being completely Out of Character here, that was a pretty damn good background for someone who doesn't write on a regular basis. Very nice, and may possibly lead to some cool stuff later on. And, perhaps, provide a commonality for Arius and Hayato to build a friendship from?)
